Paul Johnson, as many of you know, was passionate about furthering conservation on privately owned land across this country. During his tenure as chief of SCS, then NRCS, he worked tirelessly to foster public policy designed to achieve multiple environmental benefits on the nation’s agricultural land, to integrate science into the work of the agency, and to bring about an inclusive workforce within the agency that was dedicated and proud of its mission and accomplishments.
A group of friends and associates of Paul is now working to create a memorial that might advance his conservation legacy. As a first step, the group has planned a one-hour Zoom to launch this activity on December 2. The following announcement contains more details, along with a link that can be used to register for the event. There is no fee or any other commitment associated with participation.
